having a child opened my eyes to the reality of constant changes. Phase from phase. Milestone from milestone. From just like a dot in the first ultrasound to seeing and holding this baby in real life. Breathing, crying her heart out. From the first cry to the first walk. From everyday little developments to bigger milestones along the way. It was and is a constant witnessing of changes, of growing.
From this a thought came to my mind about how this life is all about these ever-changing seasons. Our lives, in general, are always subjected to seasons upon seasons. From infanthood to adulthood, God has written the chapters we have to go through. Besides, every chapter has this string attached to someone’s becoming.
For every little situation that you’d be in would lead you to the bigger picture of your being. The process brings breakthroughs. The gains and losses. The hills and the valleys. The fall and spring. The yes and no. The way you will navigate life brings you growth, in every aspect, if not all. It will all lead to a path of personal growth whether you are aware or not, you are growing as you navigate. The pace might be slow or fast, all are different from everyone as His timelines for us vary.
Some chapters are good, some aren’t so. Those day and nights crying about someone who has broken your heart could still lead you to becoming the right person for the right one whom you are gonna spend the rest of your life with. That resignation letter you have submitted could be the best decision that would take you to the best things in life. Those things that seem to be your loss at the time could guide you to the right path. That “no” you have insisted could prompt the best “yes” at the perfect time. Those ‘too soon to happen’ that had happened to you could bring you unexpected blessings. Or those ‘too late now’ regrets could be not really to regret about in the end. What matters now is that you’d be willing to be honest with yourself that sailing through these changing seasons of life is inevitable, and that you’d be willing to put your trust to the One who has written the storyline for you. It won’t always be easy going through these transitions but knowing that God is already ahead of you as you go through, I hope this will give you the confidence that He got your back no matter what. And if it gets really hard, it’s okay to cry it out. Those tears are already known to Him.
My first year in motherhood brought these words I mentioned so so true to me. When a great deal of changes are happening all at the same time—physically, mentally, emotionally— all I could do is just lay it all down to the One who called me here at this moment, at this season of my life. Motherhood has been draining and fulfilling all at the same time. This transition by far was the hardest yet brings a whole new me at once. It have grown me. Better.

I hope and pray that wherever you are at this point of life, you will find the beauty of personal growth from every season that you have and will be in. And that you will have faith and courage to go through each season with confidence from His word, knowing that His plans are always for your good. May you find forgiveness for yourself and for others, who might have stumbled you along the way, as you walk towards the path you are meant to. As you navigate life’s ever-changing seasons, may you find contentment and joy in every circumstance you will be in.
