2024 was quite the ride, wasn’t it? A whirlwind of emotions, a mix of sunshine and shadows. Some days felt like pure magic, brimming with energy and possibility. And then there were those days when the fog rolled in, and everything felt a bit… blah. So, I’m taking a moment to reflect— What were the most meaningful moments I have this year? What are the most important lessons I learned in 2024? Let me share with you my answer in this entry.
What were the most meaningful moments I have this year?
This year has been a year filled with profound moments, particularly within our family. From witnessing my daughter’s first birthday and celebrating her incredible growth to embracing the joys and challenges of motherhood, 2024 has been a whirlwind of new experiences. While there are countless memories to cherish, I’d like to highlight the creation of this blog site. As I navigated the postpartum journey, I felt the need to create an outlet for my thoughts and emotions. This blog, born from my love of writing, has become a space for me to share my experiences and connect with others in ways better than I could ever have imagined. This platform has been a productive baby’s nap time for me. In my baby’s 30-minute to 2-hour naps, I was able to write entries, make digital products, edit and post content for our social media, brainstorm ideas for content, and many more. Doing this is a huge comfort for me that even as a stay at home mom on a career pause, I was able to nurture my creativity. It has helped me not only to express but to grow creatively. Postpartum is an intense and transformative journey unique to each individual, characterized by significant physical and emotional shifts, and the profound responsibility of caring for a newborn. That’s why I am grateful I get to do this blog site on the side. Despite the big changes postpartum has brought to me, I was able to keep myself sane, and one of the reasons is this platform. I’m grateful that God has written my 2024 this way.

What are the most important lessons I learned in 2024?
If there’s one thing that I want to share from this, it is that everything that’s happening in the present is always, always will be a preparation for the next chapters of your life. Sometimes, what we think doesn’t make sense at the moment will actually have an influence on the next season you’ll be in. And a lot of time, I found myself realising past experiences that have prepared me in the season of motherhood, and even to create this Life We Have Made whilst navigating mommahood. All those things led me to the actuality of the why’s. It was back then in college that I was applying for a part time job on the side but got rejected because I don’t know how to use WordPress, but through the years I have had experiences that lead me to being familiar with using the app and making an outlet for writing after college. And now I am here again doing something purposeful on the same platform but different season of life! I’m playing back those memories and couldn’t be more thankful to God for guiding me throughout. Up until now He is grooming me to the person He calls me to be, and now I have more self-awareness and acceptance that these present chapter of my life—the slow life, the career break, the trying to be better adult for the little one God has gifted us, the ups and downs in married journey—all of which are pieces needed for the completion of life’s puzzle.

So there you have it – a glimpse into my 2024. It’s been a journey, and I’m grateful for the lessons learned along the way. I hope these reflections resonate with you in some way. May the new year bring you peace, joy, and many wonderful adventures. Happy holidays!
